GIFTS FROM YOUR IRA
If you have reached the age of 72 or older, you can make withdrawals from your traditional or Roth IRA to fund your charitable gifts, also called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
A total of $100,000 can be transferred directly from traditional or Roth IRA’s to qualified charities such as the NOCCA Foundation. Amounts given in this way count towards the required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift. Talk to your financial advisor about the advantages of directly transferring gifts from your retirement plan to the NOCCA Foundation as well as the optimum amount to give from retirement plans under federal and state tax laws.
