A screening of Jazz Dreams II, a documentary about Jazz education in New Orleans that chronicles the early careers and education of Courtney Bryan, Irvin Mayfield, and Jason Marsalis.

Loyola University’s Roussel Hall
A tribute to former NOCCA faculty member and Armstrong Jazz Camp instructor Alvin “Bat” Batiste. The concert will include a performance by alumnus and NEA Jazz Master Branford Marsalis, poetry by Batiste’s widow Edith, plus appearances by other special guests. Musical direction is provided by NOCCA and Jazz Camp alumni Calvin Johnson and Gregory Agid.
