On Saturday, August 20, from 7pm to 10pm, The NOCCA Institute’s Press Street Gardens invites you to its first-ever Dirt Gala! This fun, casual, outdoor event will raise funds to support the Gardens’ programs for students and faculty at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, as well as the general public. Admission to the Dirt Gala is free.
Dirt Gala guests can…
- Check out the lush Gardens, including our new goats and chickens;
- Purchase great food and drinks from Press Street Station, plus cool treats from Lick Our Pops;
- Challenge friends and neighbors to old-school lawn games; and,
- Listen to great jazz and funk tracks spun by DJ Ruby.
Dress code is summer chic. (That includes anything you might wear to Filthy Linen night, a couple of blocks away on St. Claude Avenue.) Kiddie pools will be available for children, adults, and pets, so water-friendly attire is totally encouraged!
Press Street Gardens is located at 7 Press Street, at the corner of Dauphine, where the historic Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods meet. (Click here for a map.)
