On Friday, December 21, 2018, join The NOCCA Institute, The New Orleans Advocate, and the family of Daniel Price for Home for the Holidays at House of Blues, 225 Decatur Street!

Home for the Holidays is a night of spectacular art and music benefiting the Daniel Price Memorial Fund for Aspiring Artists, which honors the memory of NOCCA alumnus Daniel Price. In keeping with Daniel’s twin passions of art and music, the Fund provides scholarships for outstanding visual arts and music students at NOCCA.


PATRON PARTY: 6:30pm-8:00pm
Featuring Irma Thomas and John Boutte!

Home for the Holidays kicks off with a patron party from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Gold- and Silver-level patrons will be treated to back-to-back performances by two New Orleans legends: Irma Thomas and John Boutte. As a special perk, our 80 Gold-level patrons will receive reserved seating in the House of Blues loge, which offers an unobstructed view of the stage.

On the main floor of the concert hall, there will be a patron buffet from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. There will also be open bars upstairs and down, as well as a fabulous silent auction, featuring artwork by Daniel Price Award recipients.

Gold- and Silver-level patrons will have access to the Parish Room, too, where there will be an open bar from 8pm until the end of the Home for the Holidays concert. Patrons will also be welcome in the Foundation Room, where Jon Roniger will perform.

All patrons will be admitted through the Foundation Room entrance beginning at 6:30. Patron tickets are $145 for Silver-level and $290 for Gold-level.


HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS CONCERT: 8:00pm-midnight
With Trombone Shorty, Jon Batiste, and more!

The party continues from 8:00pm – midnight with the official Home for the Holidays concert, featuring Trombone Shorty and Friends, the Preservation Hall BandWater SeedIvan Neville and FriendsJames Andrews, and New Breeds Brass Band, with emcee Gralen Banks.

General admission tickets to the concert are $45. House of Blues will sell “fest food” all night long in the main hall to keep guests fueled up! The general admission entrance is located by the House of Blues restaurant and bar. Doors open at 8:00pm.

    Jon Batiste did not perform as advertised, and his absence wasn’t mentioned nor explained. I was really looking forward to seeing him perform. Other than that, it was a great show for a worthy cause!

      Unfortunately, Jon had a last-minute conflict and had to remain in New York. However, he did send a very sweet video apologizing for his absence and talking about how much Home for the Holidays and the Price family mean to him. We played it at the beginning of the main concert–around 8pm, as I recall. Sorry you missed it, but happy to know that you enjoyed the concert. We’ll try to get Jon back asap!
