NOCCA and The NOCCA Institute stand in solidarity with everyone fighting against the injustices—large and small—faced by African Americans. As an institution, we know that Black Lives Matter. We support our students. Every day, we try to help them find their own voices so they can make the world a better, more equitable place. The diplomas issued by NOCCA state that our graduates are “artists with something to say”. We are behind those that are holding a mirror to society to bring long-needed change to the country that we all share.
Rest in peace to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and the countless other Black men and women who have been killed in the care of those who are duty-bound to protect society. We encourage our NOCCA family to stay safe and engage in peaceful protests, wherever they may be.
