On Friday, October 9, The NOCCA Institute’s 2009-10 CENTER STAGE series presents an evening with Sarah Vowell — one of America’s best-loved young writers and a regular contributor to NPR’s This American Life. Over the years, Vowell has turned her gimlet eye and razor-sharp tongue toward everything from her father’s homemade cannon and her obsession with the Godfather films, to the New Hampshire primary and her Cherokee ancestors’ forced march on the Trail of Tears. Join us in Lupin Hall as Sarah entertains with readings from her latest work, The Wordy Shipmates, and other favorites.

This very special, one-night-only event takes place on Friday, October 9 at 7:00pm 8:00pm in NOCCA’s Freda Lupin Memorial Hall. Maple Street Book Shop will sell books in the Lupin Hall lobby for signing after the event. Tickets are just $10.
