We’re happy to announce that The Boxcar — The NOCCA Institute’s food truck project — is officially open for business! We’re starting regular service today, March 31, offering lunch from 11am – 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You can find us in the Faubourg Marigny on Press Street, between Royal and Dauphine.
Over time, we’ll be adding more regular stops to our schedule, and we’re already doing plenty of special nights around town. You can keep tabs on The Boxcar’s menu and location by following @BoxcarNOLA, liking The Boxcar’s Facebook page, and visiting BoxcarNOLA.com.

ABOUT THE BOXCAR
The Boxcar uses fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs from the Press Street Gardens (another Institute project), meaning that our menu is seasonal and locally sourced. The menu was devised by NOCCA Culinary Arts faculty and alumni, with day-to-day operations overseen by a professional restaurant/food truck staff. The truck is closely aligned with NOCCA’s Culinary Arts program and offers students the opportunity to get first-hand experience in the real-world restaurant industry — both in class and after school hours.
